Why Sahaya Exists
Sahaya was born from a simple observation: the most beautiful clothes we had ever seen were made by our grandmothers, by the women in small ateliers across Lucknow and Jaipur, by artisans who had spent decades perfecting a single stitch.
And yet, these crafts were disappearing. Young artisans were leaving for other trades. Ancient techniques were being lost. The incredible heritage of Indian embroidery — phulkari, zardozi, bandhani — was slowly fading.
Sahaya means “help” or “support” in Sanskrit. We are here to help these crafts survive. To support the artisans who create them. To bring their work to a generation of women who deserve to wear something truly extraordinary.
Every piece at Sahaya is a bridge — between the past and the present, between tradition and modernity, between the artisan's workshop and your wardrobe.
